Research

My fundamantal interest lies in Quantitative and Statistical Ecology.

For my doctoral disseration, I estimated population of species lacking natural marks or patterns using terrestrial mammals as a model organisms. I utilised dataset collected through camera-traps for the population modelling. I used some existing methods and developed some new quantitative methods for the modelling. Also, I have compared the efficacies of the exisitng methods and comment on their applicability.

Apart from my doctoral work, I am also interested in Biogeography and Macro-evolutionary studies. I believe both fine scale and coarse scale factors are equally important for delimiting species ecological niche.
